Like many others (Customize webhook body | Developer Experience | Strapi), I’m frustrated by the lack of response and support for this. GitHub Actions is so popular, but Strapi webhooks don’t work with it all because we can’t customize the payload (but can customize the headers). I’m a developer and would be happy to work on this, but I’ve seen quite often that PRs just sit with no love (149 open at the moment).
So, what are the chances that someone from the Strapi team would engage with me if I submitted a PR? Being a developer (but not a core Strapi developer), I’m sure it would take me some time to get the PR in the right shape to be accepted i.e. I can see scenarios where it works but is rejected because of style / design / approach etc, things that may somewhat not be known to non-core devs.
Like, open source is all about contributing code, but the reality is on a project of this size, there’s a lot of architectural design that needs to be understood and aligned.
I read strapi/CONTRIBUTING.md at develop · strapi/strapi · GitHub which refers to GitHub - strapi/rfcs: RFCs for Strapi future changes but that looks pretty dead.
Anyway if someone on the core team sees this soon, I’d love it if we could have a virtual coffee or something, get me on the right track. Thanks in advance.
