New folder ".strapi"

I updated strapi to version 4.15.4 and noticed that a new folder appeared in my Visual Studio Code.

the folder name is

.strapi

Questions

  • what is its purpose?

  • should I add it to gitignore?

(before version 4.15.4 my strapi here was on version 4.15.0 and didn’t have this folder)

I would say yes to gitignore them since they are auto generated by strapi and auto updated
