Rich text blocks TABLE?

For my project, I really need the content field to have table support.
Rich text in its current form works well for me.
The only missing thing is table support.

Is there a specific reason why it is not implemented already?
If I was to do it myself, what this task took me?
I guess that It is really hard to make tables

I keep wondering about this too. I am starting a new project and wondering if to keep on with the editor or will they have table support in future. Or how much it will take to migrate later if I really need table support later

Something is mentioned of tbe team adding tiptap to the editor. In v5. Curious if this is true
