Can't do anything as author (CE)

Hi,

When I create an author user and login, the user cannot see anything at all in the Content Manager. The default description for the role says “Authors can manage the content they have created.”, so I was thinking I would be able to create instances of each content type (though not see anyone else’s). What am I missing?

I got Enterprise now, and I had to manually change the RBAC for the Author in order for them to be able to create anything. Kinda weird that it doesn’t seem to work for CE, that makes CE have two usable roles (Editor and Super Admin) - not three…
