Hello everyone, especially since <@211722558385553408> , I was reviewing and has experience on the subject.
I have a problem, my client needs to work with oracle db and strapi, oracle is the only and strict option, so I have been looking for solutions, I know that strapi does not have integration with the database, and that it is not planned to have it, however Could a solution be to use an Oracle translator for this?
And if not, what other possible option could there be?
thank you very much in advance

OracleDB will not work with Strapi at all and we do not advise using any DB translation options or proprietary RBs with compatibility translators built in.
If Oracle is a hard requirement, Strapi may not be the best option for you.
Considering that both MySQL and Oracle are developed by the same company (Oracle) I would advise your client that maybe MySQL would be the better choice here.
Thank you very much for the response.
I was talking to my client about Mysql, he gave me approval, we had started the project, but yesterday he mentioned to us that he wants to use Oracle strictly because of the licenses they have.
I don’t think it will be possible at all, thank you very much for your time anyway.
Yeah, that license key is exactly why we will never support Oracle
