Relation To collection Date display ID and not Date

I have an activity that has a many to many relationship with a date collection containing a Date field. The entry title of the view (define view) is on Date. But when I’m in Activity and I want to modify the content of the Date relationship, I only see the IDs! How in relation, can we display dates and not IDs?
