Strapi cloud : NODE_ENV = 'production' to NODE_ENV = 'development'

I deployed strapi 5 on the strapi cloud but I cannot switch to NODE_ENV=development, even when I add this variable from the platform https//cloud.strapi.io → settings → variables . Anyone to help me? Thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

We do not allow running Strapi in Development mode on the cloud, see: Is it possible to create content-types or run Strapi in develop mode? : Support Portal

Perhaps it is different with strapi 5 ?

No, we have no plans for any point in the future to ever allow running development mode in a deployed environment

Strapi is specifically engineered and designed not to allow that.
