Fair enough, I might be able to develop the functionality as a plugin
It took me a while too to grok git distributed version management when I was used to svn. Now I simply cannot live without it anymore. A lot of the content and site structure in my project is done by specific component hierachies and they are configured by components. By their very nature they are technical and our preconfigured by our engineers. I want to see those structures versioned and packaged with the template changes that depend on them. I would be open to a different approach and willing to learn

Strapi 5 plugin development is a little iffy atm FYI, we’ve got several of our engineers working on it right now (mostly for getting the stuff ready for users to migrate plugins from 4 to 5
That’s ok, I will do my production release on v4
For now I am fine to use ‘transfer’ and content freeze periods
