[v4] Naming of Boolean in Backend

System Information
  • Strapi Version: 4.0.7
  • Operating System: MacOS Catalina
  • Database: Postgres
  • Node Version: 14.18.3
  • NPM Version: 8.3
  • Yarn Version: 1.22.17

Booleans are currently only shown as “On/Off”, as it was the case with Strapi v3. It was in discussion to improve this feature, so that it would be possible to also show “0/1” or “true/false” on the relevant buttons in the backend.
However, I cannot find any documentation about that. Is it actually possible? If so, could anybody please point me to the proper place in the documentation, please? Thank you!

Nobody has ever encountered the need to rename “On/Off”???

@DMehaffy Sorry to address you personally, but if you have a moment, would you mind to let me know, if you have any idea about the naming of booleans in the backend? Thank you!

At the moment it’s not possible as the values are hard coded, but the design system does have that option. I believe our content squad is considering the best way to expose those APIs but at the moment it’s unclear when/if that will happen.

It’s considered a very low priority at the moment

Thank you for your response, @DMehaffy !!
It was announced for v4 as far as I remember. So I truly hope it will find its way into Strapi. Is there a was for the public to participate in a feature voting?
